Laurel Hayne-Miller, L.Ac., MSOM is a licensed acupuncturist and Reiki practitioner who combines those two modalities, along with stone medicine and both western and Chinese herbal medicine, to form a resonant, multifold approach to the multifold bodies and lives of her clients.
Laurel’s apprenticeship of the body began with an early devotion to a career in ballet and modern dance. Though at a certain point it ceased to be a healthy or heartfelt pursuit, that journey equipped her with a deep kinesthetic sensibility and belief in the fundamental grace of the human body that empowers her work today.
Laurel’s approach to healing is guided by the principles of holographic medicine, wherein it is the body’s natural propensity to stay healthy or to return to health as easily as possible. Ultimately, it is the body’s own balancing systems that are summoned and supported to actualize profound, enduring shifts.
Laurel completed a Masters of Science program in acupuncture and traditional Asian medicine, with a particular emphasis on gentle Japanese needling and moxibustion techniques, at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA. She is also currently participating in a year-long energetic herbalism program with Liz Migliorelli of Sister Spinster in Mendocino, CA.
As a practitioner, Laurel focuses on bringing her clients into greater ease and alliance with their own bodies and therefore with their lives, their possibilities, and their purpose. Her sessions offer a gracious space in which various therapies are used to encourage aliveness and renewal. She is a guide and a partner on the path toward the health and the life that you seek or cannot yet even imagine.
